Society The British Hedgehog Preservation Society
(BHPS) is a registered UK
Charity (number 326885) dedicated to helping & protecting hedgehogs native to the UK (Erinaceus europaeus).
We run a helpline with advice on caring & encouraging
hedgehogs in the wild and in your garden.
The aims of the British Hedgehog Preservation Society are:
- To encourage and give advice to the public concerning
the care of hedgehogs particularly when injured, sick,
treated cruelly, orphaned or in any other danger.
- To encourage children to respect our natural wildlife
- by supplying information and giving lectures and thus
fostering an interest in hedgehogs.
- To fund research into behavioural habits of
hedgehogs and to ascertain the best methods of assisting
their survival.

The British Hedgehog Preservation Society produces a catalogue of goods such as hedgehog food,

WE NEED YOUR OLD MONEY AND POSTAGE STAMPS!
Worthless Foreign, Pre-Decimal Coins and Used Stamps
are VALUABLE to the British Hedgehog Preservation
Society.
Please donate any old or foreign coins or notes you
no longer want, and any used postage stamps to us to
help us raise funds.
Send them to us at the address on the

page. We also raise funds from re-cycling printer
cartridges, email us your address for special
post-free envelopes.
We sell philatelic material - email us for
more information - prices are approx 20% of catalogue
